Vitis Regulatory at ISES Europe Workshop 2024

Peter Sladen recently attended the ISES Europe Workshop at German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in Berlin to build global connections with exposure science experts, researchers and institutions whilst sharing insights and trends in exposure assessment and management. The conference focused on “Advancing Exposure Science in Europe – today‘s results for a safer future”

The workshop served as a platform to explore the latest developments in exposure science. Highlights included:

  •  Showcasing of exposure modelling advancements, modifications to established models (such as ECETOC TRA, Stoffenmanager, and ConsExpo), as well as the development of entirely new tools.

  •  Details of new educational resources tailored for exposure science professionals to provide them with the tools and knowledge necessary for the field.

  •  Presentations exploring the diverse applications of human biomonitoring, a method used to assess human exposure to a chemical by measuring its concentration in human body fluids or tissues.  This can help scientists understand how much of a chemical people are exposed to in real-world situations.

This conference demonstrated the exciting advancements in exposure science, a field that is constantly evolving. Vitis Regulatory’ s commitment to staying informed aids us to utilise these advancements, delivering the most comprehensive and up-to-date exposure assessments for our clients. This allows us to confidently navigate the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Vitis Regulatory are keen to participate again in future ISES Europe Workshops, further contributing to the collaborative advancements towards exposure science!
