Senior Toxicologist Opportunity with PFA

October 23rd, 2019

Peter Fisk Associates https://pfagroup.eu/ is a well-respected consultancy specialising in assessment of hazards and risks of substances, usually for regulatory purposes.

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Toxicologist within our Toxicology Team. The role is a desk-based position involving the review and interpretation of toxicological and genetic toxicity data generated to comply with EU and global regulation of industrial chemicals, biocidal products, professional and consumer products.

You will be required to contribute at a technical level to multi-disciplinary teams working in projects relating to regulation of chemicals and biocidal products, including undertaking the role of Study Monitor for new studies being performed at external laboratories on behalf of our clients. The role does not include any line management responsibilities but will involve some project management responsibilities as well as correspondence with key clients. The ideal candidate will therefore be organised, flexible and have effective communication skills.

The position is suitable for applicants holding a minimum MSc in Toxicology or a related discipline and around 5 years’ experience – preferably working within a Contract Research Organisation or industrial toxicology department and with detailed knowledge of OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals.

The role would be based at Canterbury, UK or based at our offices in Brussels, Belgium. Full-time or part-time working are possible for this role and working partially or predominantly from home may be acceptable subject to agreed conditions. Availability to start by early 2020 will be a significant advantage. Remuneration packages are competitive with industry norms, typically up to €55 to €65 k, in Brussels/£40 to £45K in UK (full time equivalent), negotiable.

Please apply in writing with a covering letter and CV to info@pfagroup.eu
