Regulatory expert in chemicals opportunity with the PFA Group
October 23rd, 2019
PFA-Brussels (part of the PFA Group with Peter Fisk Associates Limited) is a well-respected consultancy specializing in assessment of hazards and risks of substances, usually for regulatory purposes. Understanding the regulation of chemicals is a key part of this important work. We are looking for a regulatory expert in chemicals to join our team, based at our offices in Brussels, Belgium.
The work will be focused on supporting our clients with regulatory submissions under EU and other regimes on chemicals (such as REACH, the Biocidal Products Regulation, and Cosmetics Regulation). You will be managing projects to deliver regulatory compliance and advising clients on strategy to meet their regulatory needs. A good knowledge of the processes involved in compiling and submitting regulatory dossiers and associated information is needed, as well as experience of interacting with chemical producers and product manufacturers. Understanding the technical areas needed for regulatory dossiers and how information on risk and safety is communicated and used in the value chain is also required.
We would expect a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or life sciences, with a relevant master’s degree preferable. Experience of regulation in industry, for a regulator, or as a consultant is welcomed. In addition to your experience in chemicals regulation, you must have an excellent standard of spoken and written technical English.
PFA’s company ethos is of high quality and objective science, high levels of mutual support, and constructive collaboration. We look forward to welcoming the right candidate into our team.
Availability to start by early 2020 will be a significant advantage. Remuneration packages are competitive with industry norms, typically up to €50k in Brussels/£25-30K in UK, negotiable.
