REACH training courses for March 2014 booking up fast

February 20th, 2014

Peter Fisk Associates Ltd. and Toxicology Consulting Ltd. are running the first of a series of REACH training modules in Manchester (UK) on 18-19 March 2014. With limited places available and bookings being made internationally, places on the courses are booking up fast, so make sure to book your place!

The first day of the training module is focused on the extended Safety Data Sheet (eSDS), including an introduction to toxicology and ecotoxicology. We will discuss the safe levels of chemicals for human health and the environment, and provide tuition on the approach to exposure assessment and the interpretation of risk characterisation.

The second day deals with exposure modelling, Derived No Effect Levels (DNELs) and Predicted No Effect Levels (PNECs). We will cover Tier 1 models (ECETOC TRA, EUSES), as well as higher tier models (Stoffenmanager, ConsExpo) and an exposure assessment tool (CHESAR).  The course will include critical evaluation of advantages, limitations and the type of information required.

Both courses are ideal for those who work within the chemical industry and require a deeper understanding of the eSDS, PNECs, DNELs and exposure modelling. For more detailed information on the days and to register, visit the relevant pages here.
