PFA achieves ISO certification for Information Security and Environmental Management Standards

July 17th, 2015

Peter Fisk Associates continuity and expansion

Peter Fisk Associates Limited has maintained certification of our quality management system to ISO 9001:2008 standards (and its predecessor) continuously since 2008. We are very pleased to announce that in 2015, our systems of information security and also environmental management have also received certification to ISO standards.

Identifying and managing risks

Security standard ISO 27001:2013 is the framework for Information Security Management Systems. This demonstrates that PFA has processes in place for identifying and managing risks to both physical and IT systems, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of vital systems and data. The significance is broad, but protection of our clients’ intellectual property is of particular importance. As far as we are aware, PFA is among the first service providers in the chemicals regulatory consultancy field to achieve this certification.

Minimising environmental impact

The Environmental Management standard ISO 14001:2004 provides a framework for organisations to evaluate and improve their environmental management efforts. Achieving this standard demonstrates PFA’s responsible approach and commitment to assess and maintain good performance, to comply with applicable laws and minimise the impact our business has on the environment.

Commitment to standards

The board of directors is committed to the objectives set within all three standards, and company personnel are engaged with the process. All three of these important standards are complementary and relevant for the operation and delivery of Peter Fisk Associates Limited’s consultancy services. To hold these standards in all three areas demonstrates our serious approach to the operation of our business in a way that is sustainable and compatible with data security and environmental impact priorities, as well as delivering quality.
