PFA working on EC project assessing REACH
March 3rd, 2017
PFA Ltd and PFA Brussels are working on a project assessing the impacts of REACH Authorisation for the EC (DG Growth). The project is led by eftec, with Apeiron Team and The Economics Interface.
The aim is to find out about the cost and benefits of the whole authorisation process, from identification of substances of very high concern (SVHCs), through to granting/refusal of applications. There is particular focus on whether authorisation is leading to improved risk management, and use of alternatives to SVHCs.
The project was recently featured in the regulatory news bulletin ChemWatch (article accessible by free subscription).
