Cosmetics Compliance Summit, London, 14-16 Oct

The Cosmetic Compliance Summit 2014 is due to take place in London in mid-October, following on from the launch of this event last year. The summit aims to provide clarification to key issues surrounding the EU Cosmetics Regulation, informing those involved in the cosmetics industry. Specific aspects of the Regulation will be highlighted, with discussion of the challenges faced and ways to overcome them. The relevance of the REACH and CLP to cosmetics will be covered, and the importance of understanding these Regulations alongside the Cosmetics Regulation. The event will be attended by industry and legal experts, as well as regulatory enforcement specialists, with interactive sessions where attendees have the opportunity to engage in discussion and raise questions.
Sessions focusing on the impact of the ban on animal testing and on ingredients newly identified as allergens will be given, with thereafter implication for innovation, existing formulations and the future of natural products. Some practical advice will also be given regarding dossier compilation and management. The summit will finish with a look to the future and what awaits the cosmetics industry, with discussion about new methods, impact of regulation and upcoming challenges
