Brexit? No matter what, it is BAU for PFA
March 22nd, 2019
At the time of writing, negotiations are still ongoing ahead of the expected exit of the UK from EU (Brexit) in the near future. Regardless of political persuasion, or on which side of the Channel / la Manche, it has been a turbulent and unsettling time with potentially major business and cost consequences. The one theme that has appeared regularly has been that of uncertainty, for businesses in the EU, in the UK and all over the world, including for PFA and our contacts.
For some enquirers and clients, a contributing question has been whether PFA would be able to support them in the same fashion that we have been doing during the last 24 years. We are happy to be able to clarify at least this one area.
The PFA Group Companies continue to offer chemical regulatory compliance expertise from our recently-expanded scientific team in the UK (via Peter Fisk Associates Limited), as well as an active, science-led team based in mainland Europe (via PFA-Brussels SPRL, a wholly owned subsidiary). PFA-Brussels, founded in January 2016, mirrors the services available in the UK.
PFA-Brussels and its consultancy services are not compromised by the Brexit. It is our aim to support existing and new projects for EU-based and UK-based clients seamlessly into a post-Brexit world.
Continuing our work with the European Union’s regulatory and industry bodies gives us a unique understanding and this is an approach we aim to continue to strengthen over the months and years ahead. In the past year the number of staff in Brussels has doubled to service demand and we expect the consultancy team to grow further in the next 3 to 5 years.
There is no doubt that this remains an unusually uncertain time. All members of the PFA team are glad to be able to continue supporting our clients, both existing and new. We appreciate you may have questions and we are more than happy to talk you through how PFA can support you post Brexit.
You can email us firstname.lastname@example.org , call on (+32) 02 741 2444 or (+44)(0)1227 470901. Staff from both Peter Fisk Associates Limited and PFA-Brussels SPRL will be attending the upcoming SETAC conference (co-chairing special session on “Socio-economic analysis in chemicals regulation and policy making: Current challenges and the way forward”) in Helsinki in May (https://helsinki.setac.org/). Come and meet us at Stand 57 and ask us any questions you may have.
